Nada is a unique, fast-paced, and sustainability-centred grocery store. We’re looking for a Fulfilment Team Member to join our Operations Team. This is a part-time grocery position with a focus on grocery packing and order fulfilment. You’ll ensure that orders are accurate, packed efficiently and that all substitutions are made. The right person is productive, punctual, and has the enthusiasm, energy, and positive attitude to work as part of a dedicated Fulfilment Team. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a good eye for detail, and fulfills orders efficiently while adhering to all health and safety and quality standards.

The Role
Nada’s Fulfilment Team is responsible for ensuring that grocery orders are accurately filled, packed, and stored. In addition to fulfiling orders, Fulfilment Team Members play an essential role in communicating customer requests and out-of-stock items and supporting Nada’s upcycled and deposit container system through cleaning, storage, and labelling. This position is part-time with shifts split between fulfilment and back-of-house shifts, and at least one shift scheduled on weekends. Working directly with our Team Leads, Coordinators, and Warehouse Manager, you will play an integral role in making sure that all Nada customers are happy and stoked to be a part of the package-free movement!
Responsibilities
- Efficiently fill and pack grocery orders for both pickup and delivery, ensuring that all items are properly stored and labelled
- Fulfill orders in an accurate and timely manner; adapt to order changes including customer preferences and out-of-stock items
- Help identify and communicate order changes or out-of-stock items to Team Leads and make product substitutions as requested
- Restock and update inventory on a daily basis, refill products using first-in-first-out principles, and manage out-of-date or spoiled products to make sure our customers get the freshest foods possible
- Assist with receiving, storage, labelling, and organization of inventory following all procedures and reporting
- Conduct all team opening and closing duties in accordance with the timing of shifts
- Work as part of a larger team to complete the day’s orders and jump in to help others to get the job done
- Assisting Customer Care Team Members and/or filling in for other Teams, as required
- Regular and routine daily cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing, including dishes and containers, to keep the store and all equipment clean and in compliance with COV19 and Health & Safety plans
Desired Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in a grocery, retail, or warehouse environment
- Experience using a point of sale (POS) system would be an asset
- Ability to learn quickly, be resourceful, take initiative, and use creativity to solve challenges
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and standing for long periods of time, sometimes in a cold environment (large walk-in fridges)
- Ability to lift 20-50lbs frequently and repetitively
Compensation, Benefits and Work Environment
- $16 per hour starting wage, plus an additional $1/hour store credit
